Cnoc Na Ba is 13 miles from Tarbert Ferry terminal if you come via Skye, and about 56 miles from Stornoway Airport and Ferry terminal.  It is only 6 miles from Leverburgh Ferry terminal if you are crossing from North Uist.  See directions and maps below.

 

S E A   R O U T E S

Caledonian MacBrayne operate ferry routes to and from Harris, Lewis and The Uists, 7 days a week. Car reservations are essential in the summer months, so be sure to book early. Timetables and booking information can be found on their website:  www.calmac.co.uk

 

A I R   R O U T E S

There are daily flights to Stornoway from Inverness (40 mins), or from Edinburgh or Glasgow (1 hour):  www.flybe.com. There are also flights from Aberdeen: www.easternairways.com. F R O M   L E V E R B U R G H  (A N   T - O B)

 

Leave the ferry and take the road out to the village. After 0.7 miles, at the T-junction turn left. After about 200 yards there is a right turn which is not very obvious. Turn right here. This road takes you to Finsbay (Fionnsabagh), about 4.5 miles. There are no houses on this road until you reach Cnoc Na Ba which has a walled garden.

Take the A859 road south direct to Tarbert (Tairbeart), then follow directions from there.

On leaving the ferry turn left into the one way system to junction, about 200 yards. You do not need to go into the village.

 

Turn left following sign to Rodel (Roghadal) on the A859. Keep on this road for about 5 miles. This is a twisty road but do not take any left turn until you reach a left junction sign-posted Roghadal, C79. Turn left.

 

Follow this road for about 8 miles until you reach the village of Finsbay (Fionnsabagh). At Finsbay there is a junction to the right, sign posted Leverburgh (An T-Ob). Turn right here, just before the Mission House Gallery. From here you will see Cnoc Na Ba, with its walled garden, about 200 yards along the road. There is parking space in front of the house or on the drive.
