Harris is part of The Western Isles or Outer Hebrides chain of islands located at the westermost edge of Europe. It is unspoiled and remote, and if you like the great outdoors offers a wonderful opportunity to get away from the pressures of modern living.
You may wish to take day trips by ferry to the Uists or include Harris as part of a more extensive tour of the Western Isles chain from The Butt of Lewis to Barra.
In Leverburgh, there is a well-stocked food store and there are large supermarkets in Stornoway. There are quality eating establishments within easy reach by car and a Gourmet Home Made Meals Service providing food at home should you wish to eat at home but not want to cook. There are no Sunday services with the exception of hotel food although you will need to book for this.
